IWI Tavor, in search of a lighter trigger pull

Yes, it’s bad! It’s certainly well known that the one fatal flaw with the Tavor is the spungy 12lb (or so) trigger pull. This became even more apparent recently at the range when I ran, side by side with a friends AR15 platform – one which (I believe) was running a stock trigger, which on average, off the shelf would sit at around 8lb.

I recently watched a video off Military Arms Channel on how to lighten the trigger pull for a Tavor without spending any money. This involves removing the trigger assembly (unit), assigning the release component and then removing a helper spring. It’s clearly outlined in the video below, and which results in a 7lb trigger.  The function of the spring is to reduce the probability of extreme environment jamming (as was seen with the AR15).
