One serious problem with the 997 Turbo (in stock form) is the fact that it uses really soft, “cushiony” mounts. They were primarily introduced to give the super car a more touring like driving feel, reduce engine vibration and cabin noise. This decision was a terrible mistake that was corrected in 2010 when Porsche introduced dynamic engine mounts, however RSS has come up with a perfect solution for the 2007 – 2009 cars.
We got a few owner-experts and one semi-professional driver to test out a stock 2007 Porsche Turbo, another equipped with after market Bilstein coilovers (and other goodies), a 2008 GT2, and 2010 Porsche GT3. Switching back and forth between all four cars for about 3-4 hours in twisty canyon roads – we all reached some interesting conclusions.

Now things start to get interesting, with the arrival of forced induction set to move the 991 into another performance league. As with the current car, the new 991 Porsche Turbo will get a wider bodywork and what is confirmed by early spy shots, big air intakes ahead of the rear wheels. The rear wheels look to be 20-inch as standard.

Looks like the 991-based, 2013 Porsche 911Turbo has been spied once again, with some great close-ups taken. It’s sporting almost no camouflage, and the prototype appears virtually ready for it’s production run.
